We ruined each other by being together.

We ruined each other by being together.

Our envy always lasts longer than the happiness of those we envy. Envy is acted out under the guise of virtue. A poet is envied even for his pains. Envy can even eat up nations, casting them up against each other and pull a whole nation down into an internal collapse. Envy is the art of counting the other fellow's blessings instead of your own.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself and you will be happy.
